The Accounting Clerk position will include, but not limited to:  Accounts payable, cash reconciliation, payroll time and attendance entries, assist with periodic reporting, and period closing functions.  Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in the aforementioned areas, but consideration to recent college graduates who have earned an Associates in Accounting degree.  The ability to work independently and with confidence is very important.  The specific details and requirements are listed below.

Duties 

  1. Accounts Payable – Data entry, check run production 
  2. Maintain work paper reconciliations for accounts as assigned
  3. Cash, lottery, money order reconciliations
  4. Gain a basic, working understanding of payroll processing
  5. Software literate so you can quickly learn how to navigate our proprietary accounting software applications (training will be provided)
  6. Provide customer support to our clients
  7. Adhoc reporting using our various software resources (training will be provided)

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following abilities, experience and education:

  1. Ability to confidently and accurately communicate with clients in both French and English
  2. Good technical accounting skills as demonstrated by one or more of the following:
  3. At least 2 years of college, major/minor in accounting
  4. Recent position with relevant accounting experience
  5. Strong work ethic and desires advancement opportunities   
  6. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  7. Bi-lingual French/English
