FMS Solutions team in Nebraska joined fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children’s Hospital

[Norfolk, Nebraska, February 27, 2020—]  The FMS team in Nebraska “team-up” to sideline cancer, raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (St. Jude). As part of our staff’s fundraising initiatives, they host a bake sale and several lunches at the office.

“As part of our social responsibility, we are proud to encourage our staff, across all offices, to become part of local initiatives and create an impact in their communities,” said Mariie Vélez, Marketing Manager at FMS. “We are very proud of our Nebraska team’s efforts to help St. Jude and look forward to finding more ways to help our communities succeed.”

St. Jude is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. For the past 19 years, US92 Radio in Norfolk, Nebraska, has held its annual two-day Radiothon to raise funds for the hospital. Our staff joined the event, this year, to help end childhood cancer and raised over $700.

The local radio station (US92) picked up the donation at our office today.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital— St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and cures childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments developed at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
