FMS selected 2 recipients to receive the 2020 scholarship

Fort Lauderdale, FL (August 17, 2020) — Since 2015, FMS has been committed to helping exceptional students finance their educational expenses. “Through the John W Schock Jr Scholarship, we’ve been able to support students while they still attend school,” said Robert Graybill, FMS CEO.

During these difficult times, FMS increased the scholarship awards by 33%. While FMS is stable during COVID-19, many families may have another income earner that was impacted by job loss or salary reductions.

After carefully evaluating all applications, FMS selected two recipients this year. Both students displaying remarkable academic achievement, extra-curricular participation, and community service.

Below are the 2020 students who will receive the 2020 John W Schock Jr Scholarship:

  • Andrew McKellips received a scholarship for his studies in Computer Science.
  • Emma Ostrovsky received a scholarship for her studies in Business and Communications.

FMS also participates in the NGA Foundation Scholarship Program, awarding one scholarship annually, with preference given to children of state or local law enforcement officers. Read more here.
